This weekend September 28 & 29, I will be exhibiting at the Comic Book Show at Palmdale Elks Lodge • 2705 E. Ave Q • Palmdale, CA 93550. The show runs both days from 9am – 4:30pm. I will have my indie comic magazine & apparel, original art, prints and custom sketch covers. Looking forward to seeing everyone who attends.
Made a little more progress of this Halloween inspired Batman Red Rain painting. In this second painting stage, I used dry brush technique. I like the way dry brush picks up the texture of the paper while layering the paint. Next up will be finishing up Batman and then adding in the background.
With my favorite holiday just around the corner. It’s got me inspired to create some creature artwork. So I’ve been wanting to paint this Batman from one of my favorite Elseworld stories. Haven’t done an illustration on black paper in some time and thought this Batman illustration would look good on it and capture the atmosphere I wanted to express with this piece. It was fantastic seeing everyones excitement as they picked up their copies of Boundless and brought them to the creative to have them signed. Such a great feeling having the community come together an support this benefit comic for cancer research and treatment.

This Saturday, September 7, 2019 is Boundless Day. I will be at Horizon Comics with other creators from 9am-noon for the book signing. It’s an amazing and an honor to be part of a project that takes your talents and abilities to help the world. Art has always been about healing and the way it touches the lives of individuals at the core of their being for me. My dad passed from cancer, so this comic definitely resonates with me on so many deep personal levels. If you have some time, come out a pick up this comic and helping others to heal and thrive. Horizon will be open from 9am-4pm if you can’t make it during the creators signing time.

Excited to share with you, I have three pieces of artwork in the Generations Art Exhibit. They will be on display at Legacy Commons and the Palmdale Playhouse from, August 23 through October 7, 2019.
With knocking out commissions, freelance projects and along with exhibiting at shows, I haven’t had a chance to share this with you yet. I was finally able to add background to this Prince 1999 inspired illustration.
Here is the finished Flashpoint Joker Cover. On this last stage, I stared with a base green color. Form there went back and forth with the different shades of green layering until the hair was complete. The background was lacking something for me so I added lightning to bring the whole cover together. Lastly, I didn’t like the way the yellow on the logo looked with rest of the cover so I decided it needed to change. Since Flashpoint Batman’s logo is black and red, I decided to change the logo to match that style. The change was made with a red copic maker by going over all the yellow areas of the logo. Once it was done, the cover come together fully. Rendered with Faber-Castell PITT artist pen, Liquitex paint and Posca paint markers.
