Here are some of the highlights from my 2018 SDCC experience. I did a couple portfolios this year. I saw the awesome Joe Jusko, he’s the reason I decided to pick up a brush and start painting. His new art book “Joe Jusko’s Marvel Masterpieces” was on sale and I was able have it signed. I visited my art friends booths, had a look at the many exhibitors, took pictures of cosplayers and hangout with family and friends while I was there. I took way to many pictures to share them all so here are some of my favorites.
Palmdale Book Festival & Artown Fusion at Legacy Commons in Palmdale was blast yesterday. It’s great local event that has different styles of art for everyone to enjoy. One of the best parts is being able to talk to about the techniques used to create art. Thanks to everyone who stopped to chat and have a look at my artwork.
I will be at Stan Lee’s Los Angeles Comic Con next week and a few weeks later I will be at the Latino Comics Expo.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by my table at Kaleidoscope Music and Art Festival last weekend! Its awesome seeing everyone supporting local artist. I deeply appreciate your support more than words can convey!!
The day was filled with people nonstop from opening until closing. I enjoyed talking with everyone that came by my table especially young artist that want to pursue art as a career. I remember feeling like I would never improve with my art ability but with consistency and stead work you start seeing your personal growth with time. I encourage them to keep at it no mater what. Thanks to all the City of Palmdale Recreation & Culture staff for your hard work in putting this great event together!! Also a special thanks to my friend Joi for snapping this shot of my art table!
Looking forward to next years show!

Comic Con Palm Springs is its books! Here are some highlights from the convention. The crowd was full of excitement all 3 days of the convention. Friday was medium busy which isn’t bad for a Friday. Saturday was extremely busy which is the standard for most conventions. The big surprise was Sunday which was almost as busy as Saturday. During the convention I illustrated the Inquisitor from Star Wars Rebels and my character Nyx from Twisted Fate which is featured in my upcoming anthology comic magazine Unique Real Illustrated. It was great meeting new fans and seeing old and making new friends. Thanks to all who stopped by my table!! I deeply appreciate the support!!!!
I will be at Comic Con Palm Springs this weekend. If your attending the show stop by Booth F07 for a chat and to see all my creative works of art.
I was hoping to have this finished up before Guardians Vol 2 hit the theaters but I’ve been swamped with freelance projects. I hope you enjoy the finished pencils for now until I get the painted version done.
Wow! What a great first year show! If was crazy busy from opening to ending. The crowd was very energetic and appreciative to have a show in their area. Talked with a few people and they mentioned it was the first comic convention they have ever been to. It was great seeing and meeting new fans along with catching up with friends. Definitely looking forward to next years show!!
